Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Grandma had a magic about the way she made her homemade fruit pies. Having helped her in the kitchen with the process, it gave me an appreciation for the care and fondness she had for creating something beautiful and delicious for all to enjoy. She always made sure you had enough. And, being a kid, she made sure we all enjoyed helping her create things in the kitchen. A truly beautiful person and a role model to emulate. I am truly blessed to call her Grandma.

  2. Grandma was the nicest person you could hope to meet. She was fun, kind, hard working and a wonderful cook. She genuinely enjoyed being around kids. We’d spend little summer vacations at our grandparents’ house and she’d always have activities planned for us to do together. Some of my fondest memories are : “helping” her do laundry with her old wringer washer when we were little, & the walks around the pasture she’d take us on when we got older. We were very lucky to have her as our grandmother!

  3. Grandma Kohout was the best role model for any kid. She taught confidence, kindness, hard work, and fun. I don’t ever remember her having a bad day or saying anything bad about anybody. We learned many board games from her, heard many nap time stories, and she taught some of us how to ride a bicycle. She never missed any special family occasions, especially our birthday parties. She had a heart of gold, and always put the needs of others before her own. Her laugh, stories, and smile will forever be missed. We were fortunate to have her in our lives.

  4. Paul, Betty and Jason,
I’m so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Kohout was a beautiful lady and quite a talented lady. How lucky you were to have had such a beautiful Mom and Grandma. I remember her sweet voice. Keep her special and fun memories close to your hearts. Know she will be missed by many people and it is so wonderful you all learned so much from her, memories live on.
You are in my thoughts, I miss seeing you all,
    Annamae Baker

  5. Grandma Kohout was the most pacient, loving, caring person I’ve ever had the privilege to have known. I don’t ever remember her saying “no”, or being upset, or mad. She always put every one else’s needs or wants ahead of her own. I will greatly miss our talks and conversations in which I never got bored with. I will forever cherish the memories of us playing ball and working in the garden.
