Marjorie Lenore Everett, 78, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass and luncheon at 10:30 a.m., on October 25, 2025, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids.
Marjorie was born on May 29, 1947, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Florence (Boyland) Vollenweider. She was united in marriage to Dale Everett on July 21, 2001.
Marjorie was a proud graduate of Columbus High School class of 1965 in Waterloo. She was a non-traditional student and graduate of Kirkwood Community College. She went on to have a successful career as a SCADA Analyst with Alliant Energy till retirement. Throughout Marjorie’s life, she enjoyed volunteering at elementary schools for Big Brother Big Sister, The Oldorf Hospice House, Birth Right, and giving communion to the sick at Mercy Hospital. She had a love for her grandkids that was larger than life and will be greatly missed.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Katy Bann (Loc Stewart) and Ian (Molly) Bann; grandchildren, Holly Mehaffy, Rolend Stewart, Geniva Bann, and Emma Bann; and brother, Joe (Diane) Vollenweider.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her Nana (Emma Welsh) and Baba (Harry Welsh); parents; husband; and siblings, Carol Fogle, Sandra Woodard, Jimmy Vollenweider, and Ricky Vollenweider.
