Marilyn Ruth (Blair) Belcher, 82, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Living Center West, Cedar Rapids. Celebration of Life: 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 18, 2025, with visitation one hour prior, Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids,
Marilyn was born on March 4, 1943, in Oakland, California, the daughter of William and Verna (Otto) Blair.
Marilyn enjoyed working with her hands. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting and painting and created many beautiful gifts for her loved ones throughout her lifetime. She was also a life-long learner, earning her BA and Master's degrees later in life in order to serve others in the role of Disabilities Counselor at Kirkwood Community College for 27 years. She was a devout Christian and spent many hours studying the Bible and theology.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Mary Belcher and Lori Moore; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Jeannie Cosby, and Randi Blair; and her beloved cat, Annabelle.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, son, Larry Belcher, and sister Sharon Blair.
