Marcia Hauschild

Marcia Lynne Lunde Hauschild, 77, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Hallmark Care Center in Mount Vernon from complications of Parkinson's Disease. Private services to be held later. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.Marcia was born March 17, 1945, to Leland and Lois Lunde of Clarion, Iowa. Marcia graduated from Eagle Grove High School and moved with her parents to Cedar Rapids in 1963. In 1965, Marcia moved to Lisbon with her first husband, who she would later divorce. In 1973, Marcia became a Charter Member of the Lisbon Mount Vernon Ambulance Service. She continued to volunteer with this service until 1977, when she began working full time for the Area Ambulance Service in Cedar Rapids. On June 29, 1980, she married Graig Hauschild at their home in Lisbon. In 1991, Marcia began working as a Nursing Assistant at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She retired in 2007 after working in the Clinical Cancer Center for her last 14 years. In 2018, Marcia and her husband moved to a new home in Cedar Rapids. Marcia was a great animal lover and after her retirement she spent her time bird watching, pampering her dogs, and cats and visiting the grandchildren.Marcia is survived by her husband Graig; her children, Daniel (Linda) Kuchenbaker of Peachtree City, Georgia, Matthew Kuchenbaker of Cedar Rapids, and Susan (Scott) Kuchenbaker-Sufficool of Egan, Minnesota; three grandchildren, Ben and Ella Kuchenbaker and Alexander Sufficool; a sister, Lee Anne Lewis of Ankeny, Iowa; and numerous nephews and nieces who she adored. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Marc Lunde.Marcia was a loving and caring person and will be missed by all who knew her, but by her husband the most.

  2. Marcia was an amazing co-worker with me at Area Ambulance and was a great support to my Dad and family at the UIHC cancer center as Dad battled cancer. We really enjoyed seeing her at the AAS Oldtimers dinners through the years, she will truly be missed. Prays to Haus and family.

  3. I remember Marcia and her husband showing us their beautiful pond. I hope one day to have one too. She helped my Dad wt van pool. She was such a sweet lady. My Deepest sympathies to the family.
