I always check the Mt Vernon parper on line in the mornings and was sorry to learn of the passing of Lyle. My memmory of Lyle go back to hearing a trombone in the distance from my parents hme south of the Linn Grove Church. Then when we transferred from Martelle schools to that “huge” Mt. Vernon district in 4th grade I was crying my eyes out on morning the bus and Lyle was there to comfort me. (I never forgot that) His faith has lead him to his reward and we are all richer for the opporutnity we were given to know him. Dennis Kirkpatrick
