Lyla LeGrand
March 20, 1956 ~ June 8, 2022
Lyla LeGrand (Hanson), 66, of Bertram, Iowa, passed away on June 8, 2022, of cancer.
Lyla was predeceased by father, Clarence Hanson; sister, LaWonna Hanson; and longtime friend of 37 years, Chuck LeGrand.
She is survived by son, Rob Hanson (Cindy); two daughters, Kelly Haack (Eric), Skyla Siech (Taylor); and eleven grandchildren.
Lyla was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on March 20, 1956. She went to Washington High School. She was very much in love with her three kids, eleven grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Lyla liked working on cars and house projects. She loved camping with her family and always went above and beyond on the holidays, especially CHRISTMAS!
Funeral Service Gathering of Memories: 11 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2022, at the Stewart Baxter Funeral and Memorial Services in Mount Vernon, by Celebrant Dawn Stephens. Visitation will be held 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, at the funeral home and continue for one hour prior to services on Monday. Burial will follow in the Mount Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in Lyla's name and may be directed to the family.

To the family of Lyla LeGrand Bobby, Kelly, and Skyla So sorry to hear of your Mom passing. We are never prepared for it. Now she can be at peace. She was a great neighbor. When we saw each other out in the yards we would have a little chat. She took pride in the yard and worked hard on it. Her Christmas decorations were awesome! Our thoughts and prayers go out to you. Ed and Nancy McBurney
