What a great friend he was! We will always remember the golfing, Jaycee road trips, and fun we all had when we lived in Des Moines. He had a tremendous influence on many people. Rest in Peace Ken.
Although I didn’t get to see Kenny much these last several years, when I did, he always had a smile on his face and called me by name. I remember many golf outings, and softball games from years ago! He was truly a nice guy and will be missed!
I was very sorry to hear that Kenny lost his battle with cancer. He was a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor and will be dearly missed by all of us at Berthel Fisher & Co.
Ken was a longtime friend, we always talked like we just saw each other the night before and very much like a family member. For about 10 years of my life Ken called me everyday with the joke of the day. We had great times and he will be missed very much. I know he is in a better place and at peace.
Ken’s ability to tell jokes simply astonished me. Golf was a game he loved, I feel fortunate to have been one of the last people he played golf with, and I still couldn’t beat him! Ken loved his Hawkeyes and getting Dan Gable’s autograph at Fry Fest. Attending the NIT game in Iowa City and having courtside seats made the event all the more unforgettable. Always got a kick out of him referring to me as an enthusiastic driver! Ken was an easy person to love.
Love ya, Logli
While I have not seen Ken since High School, I remember him to be a kind person, nice to a ‘geeky’ gal that didnt fit in with the crowd. RIP Ken!
Dear Mrs. Kocher and boys- I was so sorry to hear today of Kenny’s passing. I have such great memories of us as Turner kids, band kids and the kick the can crew. We had fun reconnecting when he came back for one of our class reunions. My sympathies to you all.
Deepest Sympathy to the Kocher family. Ken will forever be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and great conversation. We will always cherish being included in the Kocher Christmas caroling evenings. So much fun was had by all. Ken will shine and watch over all of you each time you see a twinkling star from above. Love you much!
My condolences to the Kocher family. My mother worked with Ken at Berthel Fisher, and we heard all sorts of Ken Kocher stories over the years. He brought a lot of joy to the people he worked with.
I am so sorry for your loss. My ex and I used to run around with Ken years ago. He was always so very nice to me. Always had a smile on his face. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
I want to extend my sympathies and express my sadness on hearing of Ken’s death. I was a high school classmate and had not seen him since, but remember so many fun times and will remember him always.
Deepest sympathies to the Kocher family. Ken was full of life who was always ready to tell the story of the game, politics or what was happening in the world. He loved to see what he could find to eat at work and was a true joy to be around. He would send me emails on issues he thought was worth passing along. He will be sorely missed at Berthel.

We are so very sorry for your loss. We had many very good times and memories with Ken. Great times at Hawks games and with friens in Cedar Rapids.
I am so sorry for your loss. And I am sad to see anybody pass away so young.
I wish you nothing but the best for the future.
Mrs.Kocher and family:
I was very sad to hear about Ken’s passing. I saw him at our last reunion and we recalled many high school memories as well as those at Turner School. Ken was always smiling and making the rest of us laugh. I have nothing but good memories of a very kind guy. He will be missed by many. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Ken beccame a great friend over the last 25 years. I could always go to him for help with a finance question. We had some good times fishing and golfing. A gentle man.
