Kenneth Johnson

Kenneth Johnson, 78, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital, following an extended illness. A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place at a later date. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, is caring for Kenneth and his family. Survivors include his sons, Ken (Erika) and Scott (Kelly Hartley); grandson, Scott (Riley) Johnson Jr; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Corrine Bien, John, and Nancy; several nieces and nephews including Steve and Danny Bien; and many extended family members. Kenneth Edwin Johnson was born October 29, 1942, to Edwin and Elsie (Winkka) Johnson in Chicago, Illinois. He worked various jobs over the years, including for Oak Industries, Six Flags, as well as landscaping. He enjoyed reading books, watching westerns, and listening to country music'especially Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash. Kenneth was a loving father who will be missed by his sons. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helga; and sister, Sharon. Memorials may be directed to the family.
