Kathryn Wolrab Rummells , 96, formally of Olin and Mount Vernon passed away February 18, 2015 at the Anamosa Care Center. There will not be any visitation or funeral services per Kathryns Choice. Burial will be at a later date at the Olin Cemetery. Survivors include daughters: Janice (Robert) Majors of Mount Vernon, Karlene (Alan) Groth of Olin, and Sharen McCormick of Anamosa, and a son Ronald Shebetka (Donna Eckrich) of North Liberty. Also surviving are many grand children and great-grandchildren. Those that have proceeded her in death are: her parents, two husbands, a daughter Shirley Lowe DuRos, a grandson, granddaughter and two sons-in law. Kathryn enjoyed helping on the farm, worked for Remley, Remley and Willem during tax season, enjoyed gardening, doing handwork, genealogy and photography. Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of the services. We are so very sorry for the loss of your Mom but can’t begin to tell you how happy we are that she is at rest. These last years have been so sad-not the way any of us want to end our lives and certainly not Kate. Please know we care and will hopefully be able to touch base with you all this summer. Jan and family, I’m so sorry for your loss…..how well I remember Kathryn….the hours and hours I spent at your place in Mt. Vernon…..those were the good old times. She has lived a great life and was a wonderful lady. I always enjoyed our visits. I know you all have great memories of her as I do, hold them close and remember her with love. My sympathy, Annamae
