Kathryn A. Musel, 82, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023. Funeral Mass: 10: 30a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023, at St. Ludmila Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. A vigil service will begin at 4 p.m. with a visitation following from 4:30 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Burial at Rector Cemetery, Chelsea, Iowa, following a luncheon. Those unable to attend are invited to watch the service via webcast. Please find the webcast link on Kathryn's Tribute Wall. Survivors include her husband, Francis Musel; son, Tim Musel; daughter, Laurie (Dave) McGrath; son-in-law, Doug McCoy; grandchildren, Madison (Jason) Libbert, Cassie Musel, and Cole (Alicia) Smejkal; great-grandchildren, Weston Smejkal, Riggs Smejkal, and Katherine Haney; and brothers, David (Jane) Hrabak and Dennis Hrabak. Kathyrn was born December 25, 1940, to her parents Ken and Louise Hrabak of Belle Plaine, Iowa. She attended school in Belle Plaine, Iowa. On May 14, 1960, Kathryn was united in marriage to Francis Musel. She spent most of her time helping with playing the piano and organ for St. Ludmila Catholic church, volunteering her time with the multiple different committees at St. Ludmila, spending time with her family and friends, also enjoyed adding to her collection of Disney memorabilia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Lousie Hrabak; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joseph and Vlasta Musel; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Betty Musel; brother-in-law and sister- in-law, John and Dolores Bennett; sister-in-law, Lorraine Hrabak; and daughter, Lisa Musel-McCoy. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be directed to the family.
