Judith “Judy” Ochs, 87, passed away on September 4, 2025, after a long battle with dementia, at Cottage Grove Place. Gathering of Friends & Family will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Judy was born February 27, 1938, in Williamsburg, Iowa, daughter to Marvin and LeReta (Lewis) Bricker. She graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1956 and was united in marriage to Rodney Ochs on May 11, 1957.
Judy was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She loved collecting antiques with her husband, Rodney.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney Ochs; daughters, Carol (Bill) Maurer and Sandy (John) Steckler; grandchildren, Natasha Greiner, Nicholas GeFaller, Taylor Steckler, Bryan Maurer, Joshua Maurer, and Amy Maurer; great-grandchildren, Stella and Samuel GeFaller, Calloway and Harrison Steckler, William Dunkelberger, Bennett and Louise Maurer, and Hannah and Emily Maurer; and her brother, Marvin Bricker Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Marlene Glandorf.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Mercy.
