Joyce Jordan, 64, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at her residence. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family. Joyce was born March 29, 1960, in Kansas City, Kansas, daughter to Virgil and Ruby File. Joyce graduated from Kirkwood with her Masters degree in Management and worked as a Fraud Analyst for Nordstrom for 10 years until her retirement in 2021. She was united in marriage to Bobby Jordan on June 5, 2021. Joyce enjoyed fishing, cooking, painting, doing puzzles, traveling overseas, and most importantly spending time with family. She was always friendly, knew everybody, and was called Mama Joyce. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Jordan; daughter, Cara (Rodger) Gray; grandchildren, Dylan Gray, Zachariah Crippen, Jade Gray, Tia Goodwin, Dennis Jr., Miranda, Paige Henderson, Austin Hartson, Braden Hartson, and Shyann Hartson; great-grandchildren, Charlie Rose, Thomas, Aviendha, Cavarion, Jayla, Zariah, Zach Jr., Nova, Colton, Jaden, Hayden, and Zayne; and sisters, Cathie Anderson and Debbie; step-children, Dalton, Charmion, Bobby Joe Jordan Jr., Christy, Melinda, and Nikki; many loving family members, and too many special friends to mention. She was preceded in death by her foster parents, daughter, Rena Hartson; grandson, Cole Gray; great-grandson, Roran; and adopted parents, Mary (Jesse) James.
