Jon was my neighbor. I didn’t know him well but I knew he loved his children. Our children played together at each others houses for the past two years. In the times he and I spoke he talked about his love for his children, fishing, and the love of his BIG cat. I love and care for David and Tabby a great deal. My heart breaks for their loss. My thoughts and prayers will be with his family.

Your family is in my prayers. Such a little boy growing up into wonderful young man. I was not surprised when I heard what John had done and sacrificed his life for the sake of 2 young children. May you find comfort in the Lord’s Healing at this difficult time.
Jon was always so willing to help and loved children. I am not surprised he tried to save those kids. Only so sad that he is gone forever. It takes a community to raise children. We will be there always. You have only to ask. May God be with you all and comfort you during these sorrowful days.
Dear David, Tabitha and family, I am so sorry for your loss, and I wanted you to know that I have been thinking of all of you through this hard time. Your Dad died as a hero and you must always remember that. Sending hugs to all of you. Nurse Julie
