JoAnn volunteered at several hospitals, sewing silk pillows cases for cancer patients and more. She took pride in her 100% Norwegian heritage. And even in later years, she enjoyed watching her Westerns, especially Gunsmoke. Most of all, JoAnn loved her time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the family for donation.
JoAnn was one of the best big sisters one could have. We traveled to Norway together to celebrate her 50th birthday. We were on the Coastal Steamer up the coast of Norway in the open seas and the boat was rocking and rolling . She exclaims “why don’t they just dock this thing!” Could not be done out there. I learned a lot from her regarding makeup, hair, decorating my home, painting furniture, making curtains and valances, etc. Even though she lived in Iowa and I lived in California most of our lives, we were always close and I tried to visit her and Glen and family as much as possible. I miss her so much but her smile and my memories will always be in my heart. Love you and will always miss you.
