Oh Jeannie B – the memories I have of you and your years at Cornell … all 18 of them! From your first day of work on second semester registration day… (talk about baptism by fire….) to your last in 1996, you were always at the top of your game and your attention to detail, spot on. You were a daily visitor in our office to get a ‘check for the bank’ and would chat with Karla and me while we prepared it. I remember our making the memory quilt when you retired and what a surprise it was to you . Little did we know then that two years later, I’d move two doors from the home you had lived in (and moved from) on A Avenue in Mount Vernon … four years after that, I’d assume your job in the Business Office…. Now the week you are laid to rest, I’m moving away from MV too. I’m so glad you got to enjoy a long retirement, even though it held challenges. My sympathy to your family at your loss and my gratitude for having shared such a good-sized slice of life with you! Rest well my friend… You are in no doubt in the company of many others from the Hilltop… playing bridge during your lunch hour. 😉 ‘
Always,
Kay (Clouse) Schirm
