She is survived by her mother, Ruth Davidson; children, Kristene (Wade) Prasil, Mark Wilson, and Barney Wilson; grandchildren, Ashley and Brandon Donegan; siblings, Susan (Roger) Boettger, and Bruce (Michelle) Davidson; and many nieces and nephews.
Virgene Charlotte was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to Charles and Ruthann (Lamaak) Davidson, on November 29, 1942. She graduated from Glidden-Ralston High School before going to cosmetology school in Des Moines. On January 10, 1965, Jean married her love, John 'Jack' Wilson.
Jean helped Jack with hair and makeup at the funeral home. She owned 'Jean's McVille Inn' for a bit, and worked in data processing for Anheuser Busch and finally Pearson Education. Her passions were taking vacations with her family, spending time with her grandchildren, and in shopping for shoes and clothes. She loved watching golf, especially Tiger, playing Euchre, and time with her poodle, Toby. As long as she was able, Jean made it back for her high school reunion to reminisce with friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; father; and brother, Larry Davidson.
Memorials in Jean's memory may be directed to Mechanicsville Fire and Ambulance.
A great friend to my mom, Linda! Sad to see she has passed, sending thoughts and prayers to her family!
