Jean Allsup

Jean Louise Allsup, 87, of Lisbon, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be at the Lisbon Cemetery, Lisbon.
Jean was born on June 30, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Harry and Hazel (Snyder) Sproston. She was united in marriage to Albert Allsup on September 15, 1957, at the Lisbon Methodist Church.
Jean enjoyed bowling, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her husband, children, Sharon Hartley, and Preston (Tina) Allsup; grandchildren, Heather, Kelly, Micah (Jessica), Brian (Anna), and Megan; and great-grandchildren, Levi, Calvin, and Luke.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, son Kevin, and siblings, Mary Lou, Robert, Kenny, Jeanette, Jimmy, and Helen.

My sincere sympathy on the loss of Jean. She was a neighbor many years ago and we always would have so much to talk about when we would meet. I loved her sense of humor and she usually said what she was thinking and those beautiful blue eyes would pop. I will miss seeing her.
