Janice "Vera" Mullan

July 11, 1959 ~ August 25, 2025

Janice “Vera” Marie Mullan, 66, of Mechanicsville, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 25, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services in Mount Vernon. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Community Christian Church in Mechanicsville, with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Janice was born on July 11, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Wanda (Reed) Weber. She graduated from Lincoln Community School in Stanwood in 1977 and went on to dedicate 36 years of service to BAE, Rockwell Collins. On July 7, 2007, Janice was united in marriage to Stanley Mullan in Cedar Rapids.

A proud member of the Mechanicsville Legion Auxiliary, Post 309, Janice was known for her love of the Iowa Hawkeyes and her enjoyment of traveling to new places.

Janice’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her mother, Wanda Weber; her daughter, Mandi (Frank Tarr) Weber; grandchildren, Jacob Tarr and Ciera Tarr; great-granddaughter, Adelyn Oakes; siblings, Ron (Diane) Weber, Connie (Rick) Pruess, and Sally (Mike) Berry; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, and her brother, Mike Weber.

Memorials may be directed to the family in care of Mandi Weber.

The family requests that those attending the visitation to wear their Hawkeye clothing, and casual attire for the funeral service.

We had many talks in the stockroom about how much she loved her family and enjoyed her vacation every year going to Texas with Connie. Connie my thoughts and prays are with you and your family.   8. Very sorry to hear about Vera’s passing, I’ve worked with her for quite awhile, and always enjoyed seeing her while routing product, cheerful to talk with and Cheer on the Hawkeyes. She will be missed, thoughts and prayers of comfort to her family.
