  1. Bless You, Howard. I sincerely appreciate the Wisdom and Humor provided me, when I landed here as your Neighbor. I was comforted that You and Phyllis knew my Grandparents , and I easily Trusted the Guidance provided by you both. As a Townie coming back to my Roots, I had many questions over the Years. You and Dear Phyllis took it especially slow as You realized my farming knowledge wasn’t worth a ” Hill of Beans “. You even allowed Phyllis to take valuable chore time to mend my jeans and coveralls, until her Arthritis didn’t allow it. I’m still looking for her replacement all these years later…
You always stopped what you were doing to visit w/ your “green horn” neighbor. Over the years, I gained confidence raising Hay and with 3 young McCoy’s at home, the Farm , and working in town, I’m not sure where the Time went…..but it flew by and I regret not visiting more. I Truly Enjoyed our time visiting and chuckling at your kitchen table. I apparently finally gained your Trust and was able to assist in sealing a grain bin w/ Tar. I was tickled that you asked me to help out.
From a business standpoint you surely showed me about ” horse trading “. In my few dealings w/ you, I realized I needed to sharpen my ” bargaining ” abilities. I smile as I think back as there were No ” free passes ” over your way….;)
I, w/ many others, will look in on Your Dear Phyllis and I will offer anything I can do to assist her in this challenging time. It’s the least I can do for the Friendship you willingly offered me the last many years.
I humbly Thank you for everything Howard. I Pray you are now comfortable and cared for by Angels in Heaven. I fear The Angels will never hold a candle to Dear Phyllis but know you’ll have fun kidding w/ them, nonetheless.
I’ll miss you Howard, you’ve been a great Neighbor and Friend for many years.
    Respectfully- Phillip McCoy

  2. I have many found memories of the time I spent with Howard. When my sister and I were younger we would spend time at the farm collecting eggs and learning about farm life. You will be missed, love you. Aaron Askelson
