In 2006, Harry and Marge moved to Olin, Iowa to be near family.
Harry was a passionate man who enjoyed motorcycles, traveling and reading. He loved his family, pets, playing cards and music. In 2017 Harry joined other U.S. veterans on an Honor Flight to visit Washington, D.C.

I’ve missed Harry’s calls so much and did not know he had passed. He called regularly to check on Bill and I have tried recently to call many times since we hadn’t heard from him. Harry was a special friend to Bill for many years. When he lived closer we enjoyed many dinners out with him and Marge. Loved to hear his stories. I will miss him. Sad that Bill’s dementia has hidden those memories. My thoughts and prayers to you all. Bill and Pat Parrott
Hello Pat,
I’m sorry for the delay in my message. I was just thinking about Harry and saw your post. I’m Gayle Neff Nave and I was Marge’s daughter. I know that you and Bill were among my mom’s and Harry’s dear friend and I appreciate your sweet note. I’m sorry that Bill has dementia. I know that is a terrible thing for both of you. I grew up with Harry on the farm in Ceresco and I often rode with Harry on the back of his bike when he went to see Bill. Thank you for reaching out and may God bless you.
