  1. I was saddened to read of Gert’s passing. I grew up in Tipton, a block east of Gert and her family. Our neighborhood spent many, many rainy and snowy days playing Monopoly at Gert’s house. What fun memories those are! And, her Mom always had cookies and other goodies for us! God bless all of you, you know Gert is up there keeping an eye on all of you. Jack Nelson, Rochester, MN
