Gerry R. Robertson

Gerry (Geraldine) R. Robertson, 84, of Cedar Rapids, died on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. There will be no services at this time. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Mayfield; and grandchildren, Amanda Mayfield and Matt Mayfield; a niece and nephew; and several cousins. Gerry was born November 14, 1929, in Ledyard, Iowa, the daughter of John and Amanda (Busch) Manthei. She worked for 37 years at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 1990. Gerry was a member of the Telecom Pioneers group. She loved playing Mexican train dominoes with her friends, reading and collecting books, listening to country music, and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Gerald Manthei. Memorials are suggested to the family.
