I extend my heartfelt condolences to your family. I had the privilege of working with Gary in various capacities at Wabtec. Gary made a lasting impact on many of us here at Wabtec, his positivity, patience and kind demeanor always stood out. He was ever willing to coach, guide, and mentor his team and peers.
Gary and I talked frequently, his passion for youth athletics and his immense pride in his family were always evident. I feel honored to have known him, his absence and our conversations will be deeply missed.

Thoughts and prayers for your entire family. I coached youth sports in Wilton the same time Gary was coaching for Mount Vernon. Our boys competed a lot against each other all the way through High School. It was fun to stand by Gary at these events. I remember a double header we had at Mount Vernon with 5th and 6th graders. It was very warm that night and Mary and the other Mom’s made root beer floats for both teams. My kids thought that was the best thing ever. That was Gary’s way of teaching kids that it’s just a game. He always said let’s just have fun and play. My oldest son moved to Mount Vernon a few years ago. I ran into Gary a few times at the park watching grandkids. It was great to chat and talk about the youth sports days. I will hold on to all the many great memories with a great friend.
