Gary L. Peiper, 72, of Mt. Vernon, died on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Memorial Services: 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at the Lisbon United Methodist Church, Lisbon, by Rev. Tom Mattson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Lisbon Cemetery, Lisbon. Arrangements are with Morgan Funeral & Cremation Choices, Mt. Vernon. Survivors include his wife, Linda; sons, Eric (Shannon), Brian (Kim), and Curtis; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Sara, Jacob (Maggie), Adam, Austin (Amy), Zach, Abe, and Eleanor. Gary was born December 12, 1941, the son of LaVerne and Leota (Jilovec) Peiper. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Lisbon United Methodist Church Window Fund, or the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.   3. I am so saddened and shocked by Gary’s death. Gary and I played baseball and basketball together. I’m looking right now at Gary’s senior picture in the 1960 Lion’s Eye. I always greatly admired his hair which he had up to this day! So sorry Linda for your loss but know there is a gain in Heaven!
