Emily
I was severly injured in a car crash in 2005. I was in leg casts for 2 months and a wheel chair for 3 months after that. Emily came to my house with some home made stew and offered to clean my house for me. I appreciated this gesture so very much. She was a classmate at NICC with me for a short while and I enjoyed having her take the same class as me to discuss assignments, etc.
My husband, Steve Kerper, owned Kerpers Country Store at the time and as a Marketing Project she offered to rearrange and clean the old store. Emily was a good worker and we appreciated the help very much.
Emily was very aware of the environment and how fragil it was. She did her best to preserve nature.
May Emily find everlasting peace and joy in Heaven.

I worked with Emily at Kmart. She was such a sweet person. I am so sorry for your loss. I am grateful that I got the chance to know her even for that brief time. I don’t have any stories to tell except to say that she had such a positive attitude and was a hard worker. She always went out of her way to help people. We are all in shock at work. She will be greatly missed.

I just heard about Emily’s passing and wanted to extend my deepest sympathies. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend her services.
Emily and I were very close when she lived in New Vienna years ago. She worked for me at a couple different places. We grew very close.
Emily had one of the kindest hearts of anyone I know. Her personality was truely unique and she was always supportive no matter what personal battle she was fighting. She was a great friend and a great person. We did not see each other at all in recent years but kept in touch by Facebook. When she moved away from Dyersville I missed her dearly.
Learning of her passing brings me great sadness but also comfort in knowing that Emily will find herself in Heaven.
May all her hopes and dreams now come true.
In Sympathy,
Mandy Kruse

I been knowing Emily for 3 years. Been around her I noticed that she love music, working, walking in the park and she like helping others. We share a lot of thoughts together and she has this great smile..She is a good person inside and out…to my Best friend Em…We miss you ..
Dear family of Emily,
I am sorry for the loss of your loved one, Emily.
I too have a daughter named Emily, the same age. I can only imagine how you must feel.
I wish to share with you comfort from the Bible.
The Bible holds out a wonderful hope for our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death.
Please read John 5:28,29 in your Bible.
Another wonderful future promise is found at Revelation 21:3,4 where it states that , pain and death will be no more. The former things will have passed away.
As you read these texts in your own Bible, may they be of comfort to you.
Sincerely Dianne Mullins

Saved My Life
I had just moved to California, found a great job with Johnson & Johnson. It was the most money I had ever made in my whole life and I just didn’t know how to handle all that and the big city. Started to come upon hard times and even with no place to stay Emily encouraged me to come back to Iowa. Having nowhere to stay she said she didn’t care and she would get a bunch of camping stuff and that’s how we would live as it was summer. I came back and we were blessed with owning a duplex and great jobs.
I know in my heart if she had not been an anchor for me in hard times I would have died in California. She gave me hope, joy and a reason to try. Thank you Sweetheart!
