  1. Rest in peace Ed, I enjoyed working with you at Beloit PD and my father always spoke very highly of you – may you both be patrolling in heaven. 💙🙏💙

  2. RIP ED. I worked for years with Ed on third shift also day shift. Ed was great to work with always willing to lend a hand. I learned so much from Ed, he could get along with victims and suspects. I have to say we had a lot of fun together. I carry a scar from a call we were on. Suspect was shooting from a window in his house. We came up with a plan. Sgt was going to open a screen door I was to charge the door the inside wooden door Ed was running behind me to push me through if I didn’t get through. As we ran at the door as I hit the door we realized it was a glass door. Ed crawled over me to jump on the suspect as he layed on the floor. Ed kicked the gun away and got control of the guy as I grabbed the weapon. The guy gave a look that we both talked about for years. We scared the s – – t out of the guy. Many more stories. I have missed him since he retired. Such a big part of my life.
