Sending heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the family during your time of loss. So sad to hear of the loss of a fellow MHS classmate. GODSPEED DOUG !!
Cousins and Aunt Chris, sorry for the loss of brother and son. But wow, what a tribute from the many classmates and friends!!
I will remember the many family gatherings. I caught my first crappie fishing with Doug on a dock at Pickstown, SD. We were waiting for Uncle Lloyd to come back with the boat for our turn to get out “on the big water”.
Also, in later years, stopping by the “special” refrigerator in the garage at the Mitchell home place.
Lost touch over recent years, Doug in CR and us in SFLS. Will have to catch up when I too am called to the Spirit World.
For now will have a Mass said at SDSU Newman Center.

Dear Peacock Family, I as so saddened when I heard of the news of Doug’s passing. He was not only a MHS classmate (Class of ’72) but a friend. I will always cherish our childhood and high school good times together. I am reminded that “We are not in the land of the living going to the land of the dying – no, we are in the land of the dying going to the land of the living.” Yes, we’ll see Doug once again. My prayers for you are for comfort and strength in the days to come.
