Dorothy Mae Loehr, 83, of Lisbon, Iowa, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Visitation: 3 - 5 p.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon, Iowa. Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Mount Vernon. Burial: Springville Cemetery, Springville, Iowa.

Survivors include her children, Debra (Thomas) Applebee, Daniel Loehr, John (Nanita) Loehr, Judith (Fernando) Pavia, Edward (Lea) Loehr, and Julie (Ray) Osten; 34 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; and a brother, Everett (Glenda) Mysak.
Dorothy was born August 4, 1938, in Springville, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Lola (Scroggins) Mysak. She was a graduate of Springville High School. On June 21, 1958, Dorothy married Allen Loehr. She worked at Sheller Globe/UTA in Iowa City for many years. Dorothy was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She loved to play bingo, go camping and fishing with her family, and traveling with her husband, especially to motorcycle rallys.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Roger, Jeff, Ronnie, and Theodore; and siblings, Raymond, Henry, Charlie, Mary, Emma, Francis, Donald, and Joann.

i worked with her for years at sheller globe in the factory in the compounding department and she was a great person to work with as well as other members of her family. god bless her and my thoughts are with you at this time . michael angelsberg
