Donald James Walderbach, 59, of Marion, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
Don was born Aug. 10, 1956, in Ryan, Iowa. Following high school, he enlisted with the Marines, attended college and had a long career in law enforcement, including being chief investigator at Two Star Detective Agency before his retirement.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Sheronda Scherrer, Cynthia (Jerry) Davidson, Christina Burgin, Rebecca Proctor, Samantha (Brian) Williams, Jessica Boots, Adam Walderbach, Brittany Walderbach, Allie Walderbach and Cassie Walderbach; and 19 grandchildren. Also surviving are Joanne Wohlgemuth; close friend, Kirk Woltman, and his family; and Jake, the family dog.
Don was preceded in death by his close friends, John and Kay Berge and William "Hawk" Rudd; and Tess, the family dog.
Don was devoted to his family and his faith. He was proud to have passed on his sense of humor to all his children. He was always the man behind the grill at family barbecues. He enjoyed working in his garage and spending evenings on his front porch.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the family.
