Diane Carol Harris died peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2017 after a brief illness. Funeral: 11 a.m., Friday, December 7, 2017, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4-6 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home followed by cremation.
She is survived by her husband, Buel; children, Tim (Kim) Townsend of Hurst, Texas, Michelle (John Welsh) Daniels of Cedar Rapids, and Dawn (Steve) Defrense of Marion; grandchildren, Crystal, Destiney, Chante, and Cherlynn; great-grandchildren, Annabell, Amara, Cruse, and Landon; and sisters, Donna and Barb.
Diane Carol Dahl was born to Gilbert and Margaret (Keuhn) Dahl on August 4, 1942 in Faribault, Minnesota. She graduated from Faribault High School. On June 29, 1968, she married Buel Ray Harris in Rock Island, Illinois. Her joy was in caring for her family, her home, and in reading two chapters of the Bible daily.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and eight siblings.
