Dennis John Martin, 53, lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids, went to be with his family on August 28, 2018. Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018, at Wilcox Cemetery near Viola, Iowa in Jones County. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Dennis enjoyed spending time and hunting with his grandfather whenever possible. He worked as a carpenter and roofer but loved restoring and refinishing antiques furniture.
He is survived by friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Jo Anne Martin; grandparents, Jo and Elfried (Kaufmann) Hayden, and brother, Duane Martin.

Saddened to hear of Dennis passing. It is an end of an era, as he was the last member of this branch of the Hayden family. My sympathies to all his family of friends.
