Sweet Dave, my heart was broken upon learning of your passing! I will never forget the first time I met you at Regis in high school! I was a year older. From that day forward you were “Daaavveeeyyy” & everytime I saw you & a few other girls in my group especially H.R. we would get excited to see your big smile & give you a huge hug- you gave the best hugs! High school is not the easiest for all people or the time of their lives that they would say they had the most fun & you & I talked about this many times. You were always willing to lend a helping hand, there to talk or listen, step up in anyway for others & that is a quality that is extremely rare but that YOU possessed! I deeply admired the fact that you looked past anything & what anyone had ever acted like for the overall good & best of everything! I saw that in you the first day I met you! Keeping in contact with people from high school is great but nearly impossible to do with every singe person! I’m so glad we kept in contact! You made me a better person when I was a teen & you are making me a better person as an adult today! We were supposed to have lunch/coffee (which would have been breakfast coffee that turned into lunch lol from so much talking 🥰) after your doctors appointment & I got over pneumonia & I am devastated that will not be happening! I’m holding you to it & will expect a huge Davey hug when I do arrive & we see eachother again! As I always told you, you should be extremely proud of yourself & the honor & dignity you maintained throughout your civilian life on top of your accomplishments serving & protecting our country while always maintaining the highest level of integrity & respect throughout your life as a Catholic & not just talking the talk but fully living out the faith as Jesus calls us all to do! I pray that ALL of your severe pain/ailments are lifted off of you & you rest eternally in peace while reuniting with your parents & all loved ones again🫶🏼🪽
A very smart and faithful man who walked into my life just in the last six months. God put us in the same water works community group for the city of CR, at Prairiewoods and St Wenc. I’m sorry he has gone so soon, just as we were getting to know each other. I will keep him in my prayers.
