David Wayne Powers, 54, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on October 20, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. David was born on October 22, 1969, in Monroe, Wisconsin, the son of Larry and Marcia (DeRemer) Powers. He was united in marriage to Becky Ricklefs on October 2, 2009, in Marion, Iowa. David loved to watch WWE Wrestling and Duck Dynasty. He also enjoyed going to AutoZone, car shows, grilling, and cooking. David worked part time as a Carnival worker for the Greene County Fair, and as a supervisor for a cheese factory in Monroe, Wisconsin. David is survived by his step-father, Leo Tholman; wife; Becky; children, Sherrylanne Powers, Diamond (Ernest) Hartley-Brown, Melody Hippert, Molly Hippert, and David Powers Jr; grandchildren, Alizabeth, Aweston, Arlo, AJ, and Alexis; and one brother, Kevin (Gia) Sonier. David was preceded in death by his parents.
