Damon Francis Braun, 33, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at UnityPoint St. Luke's Hospital. Funeral Services: 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Visitation from 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home on Wednesday. Burial: Dunkard Cemetery, Toddville. Family and friends are invited to wear purple in honor of Damon's favorite color.
Survivors include his father, Garen Braun; fianc��, Samantha Mann; biological mother, Georgia (Robert) Devereux; sisters, Rhonda (Bruce) Perryman and Kathy Conway; biological sisters, Perseus Devereux and Brook Devereux; step-sister, Kelly Sprague; nephews, Alex Smith and Alec Brockman; niece, Bailey Sprague; and his dog, Tank.
Damon was born November 26, 1988, in Cedar Rapids. He will be remembered for his heart of gold, stubbornness, and desire to do things for his friends. Damon enjoyed taking things apart, but wasn't good at putting those things back together. He was good at story-telling and seemed to be busy all of the time, but not accomplishing as much as he wanted.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Jean Braun, and step-sister, Gabrielle Devereux.

This man was the love of my life, we spent 7 of the best years of my life together. He taught me so much and helped me learn what love is. It will never be the same without him, he was my pride and joy my other half my soul may he rest easy now. He no longer feels the pain but is in peace and watching over us now. Love you baby so much may u raise hell and ride on.
I just can’t believe that my tiny 5lb baby is gone! My heart is broken!
We grew apart but shared a lot of memories. Our gravel road trips. Will miss you.
This Makes me so very very sad 😢. He was to young . Just my little brothers age. They were friends and went to school together and share so many Great Memories together. Damon was always always willing to help anyone in need He had a beautiful soul. I will miss him 💔

Damon had a heart of gold! I had lots of good memories with him and Sam… I remember always getting Hardy’s sliders and Chinese food with him… He was so full of awsome stories and had the biggest smile that my kids and I will always miss. Rest easy
