Connie Florence Wilbanks, 74, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Family and friends will gather from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Burial at a later date at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Walker. She is survived by her sister, Donna (Lloyd) Banks, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Connie was born on December 25, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Robert and Dolores (Wood) Prucha. She graduated from Regis High School. For a short time, she worked as a CNA before becoming a beautician. Connie retired as a manager for Sally Beauty Supply. She enjoyed league bowling and served as a state association officer. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Wilbanks; and brother, Robert 'RG' Prucha, Jr. Memorials are suggested to any animal rescue organization. Connie's family extends a sincere thank you to Avalon Hospice and Kim Grady for their compassionate care.

  2. Connie, you were such a fighter. The MS attacking you body then the neuropathy and finally the infection. I don’t think you were ready to go but your body couldn’t take it anymore. I will remember you as that loving, happy always put together woman tat was my loving aunt. Rest in peace Aunt Connie. Love Kathy
