Charlotte Ann Johnstone, 84, of Mechanicsville, Iowa, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Mechanicsville Specialty Care. No services are planned at this time. Stewart Baxter Funeral and Memorial Services, Mount Vernon are assisting the family.
Survivors include her daughter, Juanita (Marv) Veenendaal of Mechanicsville; grandson, Michael Veenendaal of Colorado; relatives and friends.
Charlotte Ann was born July 3, 1937 in Des Moines, Iowa. She grew up in Des Moines where she attended school. Charlotte worked as a Registered Nurse at the Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Charlotte was united in marriage to Syd Johnstone and were married for over 36 years. Sid passed away in 2017. Charlotte had moved to Mechanicsville to be close to her daughter Juanita.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita and her husband, Syd.

I’m so sorry to hear this. Char and I attended Schneider truck driving school in Green Bay Wisconsin in 1987. We teamed with our husbands 16 years. I miss her.
