Charles G. Tew, 67, of Martelle, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center Cedar Rapids. Services for Charles will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Martelle United Methodist Church by the Reverend Don McGarvey. The family will greet friends from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choices Mount Vernon. Surviving Charles are: his wife Dianne; children: Angie Seichter (special friend Brian Schmitz) and her children Tony, Vinny, Dennie Jo, Jenna, and Jane; Stephanie Mysak (Todd) and their children Faith and Jesse; and Jeremy Tew (Amber) and their children Tarrance, Jonah, and Olivia; a sister Grace (Mike) Michels, brothers: Gerald (Ellie), Henry (Fannie), and Johnny. Also many nieces, nephews, and children of his heart. Preceding Charles in death was his brother Jimmy. Charles was born November 26, 1944 in Eustis, Florida, the son of Valiant and Aileen Whatley Tew. After obtaining his certification as a Nuclear HP Technician he worked all over the country until his death. Known as a vivid storyteller, he was a valued member of the Martelle Coffee Club. Charles was known for his caring and kindness...he was a friend to all. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Charles honor may be sent to: P. O. Box 141, Martelle, IA 52305
