Carol Shramek

Carol Ann Shramek Russman, 77, passed away, Friday, March 24, 2023, at Living Center West, Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life, hosted by the family, will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., April 15, 2023, at Villa's at Stoney Point. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services of Cedar Rapids is caring for Carol's family. Carol is survived by three children, Kerri Shramek, Candice Fleming, Jonathan Edward Shramek, all of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Zachary, Aaron (Devin), Caitlyn, Noah, Phoenix; a brother, Bob (Nancy) Russman of Cedar Rapids; numerous other relatives and friends. Carol Ann, the daughter of Robert Dean and Opal Elizabeth Summers Russman, was born July 20, 1945, in Denison. As a young girl, Carol moved to Cedar Rapids, where she completed her schooling. She graduated from Prairie High School. Carol worked at Iowa Air Filter, as an assembler. She enjoyed crafts, plants, antiques, and loved to read. Carol Ann will be greatly missed! She is preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Barb and Bev. Memorials may be directed, in Carol's name to the family.
