Carl Kruse III

Carl Kruse III, 71, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Southaven, Mississippi. Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
Carl was born November 2, 1953, son to Carl II and Margaret (Howard) Kruse. He was united in marriage to Jean Hixon on January 4, 1992, in Marion, Arkansas.
Carl loved fishing, racing, Paula Abdul, farmers markets, pull tabs, and having a Jack and Coke.
He is survived by his children, Candie (Chad) Ottman, Brian Kruse, Rachel (Dennis) Baugh, and Kaitlin (Randy Jones) Kruse-Jones; twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by parents, wife, Jean Hixon-Kruse; and son, David Kruse.

I’m so sorry for the loss. Carl was a good father and man. I remember when Kaitlin, my best friend from elementary school came to visit me, and he took a nice long nap in my recliner. Such a funny man. He will be missed.
Carl through the years of knowing you and your family. I know how you love them. I will be here to make sure miss Katie is taken care of. If she needs advice. I will try to do my best, yet I cannot replace you or her mother, nor do I want to. I am here. Rachel that goes for you too. I’m here for you both. Love you all. Carl til we see one another again rest well in the Gardens Of Heaven.
I am shocked and sad to see that Carl passed away and even more shocked to see that Jean has also passed away. We did a lot of local farmers’ markets together as vendors. The last time we met up was in an aisle at the Salvation Army shopping for stuff we didn’t need! I will always remember Carl and Jean as humble, hard working people. May you both rest in peace.
