Bob Meisterling
September 20, 1982 ~ October 15, 2024
Bob Meisterling, loving son, brother, brother-in-law, and most importantly father, passed away on October 15 at Mercy Medical Center after sustaining a head injury from a fall. Bob was born in Munster, Indiana, on September 20, 1982. He was a 2001 graduate of Washington High School and a 2005 graduate of Coe College. Bob started his career at Great America Leasing. There, he assumed increasingly responsible roles and accumulated numerous awards over a thirteen-year period. That experience was invaluable to him in establishing many long-lasting relationships. He took a hiatus in 2018 and decided to work on a passion project that culminated when he opened Ringer Golf in 2022, an indoor virtual golf facility in Czech Village. He loved Ringer and thrived because of the many people he got to know and serve. He always said he had the very best customers any business could have; that was a source of sincere gratitude for him.
Bob's focus in life were his two children, Lincoln and Theo; whom he absolutely adored. There wasn't a minute or day when he wasn't thinking of them. Indeed, he craved spending as much time as he could with them playing sports, video games, and just being together.
He will forever be missed by Lincoln and Theo; his parents, Dick and Mary; his sister, Angela (Greg) Billman; and his twin brother, Brad (Katie). Our lives were blessed to know him as we all did. He will forever be in our hearts.
Bob donated his body to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Ringer Golf.

I met Bob my freshman year of high school at Wash. I was in Angela’s class (2004). I always looked up to Bob and Brad from their work ethic in the class room to the golf course. I lost touch with Bob after high school but we reconnected when he opened Ringer. It was so great to see Bob doing what he loved and it was such an awesome thing he brought to the community. My deepest condolences to Angela, Brad and family. We are truly devastated to hear of the news.
So sorry to hear that Bob has passed away. He was an incredibly nice guy and had such a quick, fun smile! He will be missed!!

We lived close by Bob. He was always smiling and made us feel welcome as his neighbor. Bob would always ask me what I was doing, I enjoyed bringing him up to speed. He was so excited for his business opening and had thought it out well. Our condolences to the family through this difficult time.

I only knew Bob a few years, but every time I went to Ringer he treated me like a lifelong friend. My condolences to Bob’s family. He really was a nice person you felt at ease chatting with. We need more people like Bob in this world.
