Anthony was born August 28, 1969, in Cedar Rapids, the son of MacArthur James and Katherine 'Suzy' Beshears. He graduated from Washington High School in 1987, where he played football. After high school, he served in the US Army. Anthony was a spunky jokester who loved to be with his family. He enjoyed riding LIFTS with bus driver, Jim, and going to 'work' at Milestones. In his free time, Anthony played board games, watched TV, cheered on his 49ers, and listened to music.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother; grandparents; and uncle, Bill Beshears.
Anthony loved to raise his glass and share a 'Cheers' with everyone. His family shares a loving 'Cheers' with all of the caregivers who have shared their love and compassion with him the last 25 years.

Anthony you were my go to Wide Receiver. Such a kind and gentle soul. Prayers to the Beshears Family during this time of sorrow. Rest In Peace Anthony 🙏❤️🙏
Growing up with Anthony in the neighborhood was fun. Playing basketball at Jane Boyd and shooting pool was amazing. His dance skills in the talent show was great. He was a great man. He will be missed but not forgotten. Rest in heaven, my friend. Tell your Mom and mine I love and miss them.
So many good memories of football, friendship and fun. Many a glass raised, and many a “cheers” given. Peace to all who called Anthony friend, or family. Psalm 23 prayed for #23 today.
I echo my brother, Pete. I loved watching the Warriors play football and the bond that team shared. I am blessed to have called Anthony my friend. Rest easy, Anthony.
Anthony was always a joy to be around! When I started as his caregiver I didn’t know what to expect and I was treated like family. Anthony loved to watch Walker Texas Ranger and was a devoted 49ers fan as he would watch them play every chance he got. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to all of his family. Thoughts and prayers are with you
