Anderson Degahouey

Anderson Degahouey, 19, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021, at the University of Iowa Children's Hospital. Visitation: 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, followed by the Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include his parents, Kwami Degahouey and Assion Comlanvi; three siblings; and many extended family members and friends. Anderson Degahouey, born May 7, 2002, in Bronx, New York. He attended elementary school at PS73 on Anderson Avenue in the Bronx, middle school at Highbridge Green school, then high school at Charter school in Bronx, New York. The family moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he continued at Prairie Creek. During his schooling, he went through transplant surgery, a difficult moment for Anderson, but by the Grace of God, everything was successful. Anderson continued classes at home and graduated. He started college at Kirkwood Community College. Sadly, on Sunday August 8, 2021, God took Anderson's breath and he went to be with the Lord following a short illness.
