Alvin was born May 23, 1921, the son of Milo and Ada Lehr. He was born and raised on the family farm and was proud to be a lifelong 5th generation farmer. Alvin will be remembered as a loving husband to Ione.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Glen; and sister, Helen.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
I will never forget the hay ride for a bunch of Christian singles we had out at the Lehr farm years ago, with Alvin driving the tractor pulling hay rack. Such a nice man and family. The Lehr’s produced a couple of fine sons and their families. I pray you all will be comforted by the many memories of how Alvin led his life.
God bless,
Scott Smith
Alvin and Ione were the anchors at the Federated Church for so many years. My family and the Lehrs as members of the Church created so many fond memories. Church usher. Deacon. Projectionist! Friday night pot lucks! Church picnics! Loved them all and Alvin always made them special. Alvin once made a movie of me when I was less then 10 years old butting heads with my billie goat! First time and last time I was ever in a movie! I truly have so many fond memories of Alvin and wow he still had a full head of hair! I am sure he is with my Mom and Dad in Heaven watching over us.
