Robert E. Glover, 74, of Mechancisville, died Saturday, September 10, 2005, in the Mechanicsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, from complications due to pneumonia. Bob's Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville. The family will greet friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, in Morgan Funeral Home, Mount Vernon. Surviving Bob are two sisters: Betty (Willy Weber) Miller of Mechanicsville, Belva Vaughn of Little Rock; five brothers: James (Margaret) Glover of Mechanicsville, Gene (Jeanette) Glover of Lansing, Donald (Peggy) Glover of Cedar Bluff, Larry (Marsha) Judd of Cedar Rapids,Gary (Marilyn) Judd of Anamosa, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Bob in death were his parents, a brother Duayne, and a nephew Ronnie. Bob was born March 1, 1931 at St. Clairsville, Ohio, the son of Charles Lee and Gladys Geneva Glover. Bob worked for custom corn grinders Robert Wright and Francis Miller. Bob was a caregiver to his mother for many years. He especially loved the River Boats. Best of all, he enjoyed sitting in his front yard waiting for folks to come by to stop and visit. Memorials in Bob's honor may be sent to: 306 E. 2nd Street, Mechanicsville, Iowa 52306.
