Robert D. Williams, 68, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, October 20, 2011, at the Iowa Veterans Home, Marshalltown. Private family burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, Williamsburg. Arrangements by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include his daughters, Crystal Parker and Tersa (Chris) Cassady, both of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Carolee (Tom) Wilford of Sun City, Arizona and Patricia Goodwin of Cedar Rapids; and two grandchildren, Tristan and Mya. Robert was born May 15, 1947, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the son of Norris and Beverly (Clancey) Williams. He served his country as a US Marine. Robert was a truck driver and member of the Teamsters. He was an avid race fan and a long-time volunteer with The Salvation Army, helping with many programs. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Sorry for your loss. I remember him when we (Tersa and I)used to go to the races with him. So sorry for what he and all of you had to go through. Praying for peace for all of you.
