Natalie Coleman

February 10, 2005 ~ December 17, 2023

Natalie Coleman, 18, passed away unexpectedly after giving birth to her second child, A'mir. Natalie was the foundation of her family. She was everyone's joy, she brought so many laughs, smiles, and love. Her absence will leave a void in everyone's life. She will be missed deeply. Natalie's best friend was her mom, Samantha, and had the most unbreakable bond. Natalie loved to pick on her; she would stick her finger in her mom's ear (she knows how much her mom doesn't like her ears touched) or when Natalie would stick her feet on her mom (she knows how much her mom doesn't like feet either), but they always shared so many giggles and embraced every moment together. Wherever Natalie was, Samantha was right there as well, the two were inseparable. Natalie always knew whether big or small, anything Natalie needed, her mother was right there supporting her. Samantha would go to the end of the world for her. Natalie loved being around her friends and living life to the fullest. She loved being a mom to her children. Her daughter, is her tiny best friend. They were so excited to be welcoming a little brother to the world. Natalie was taught how to be an amazing, protective mother from her own mom. Natalie also had a special bond with her younger brother, Vincent. She was also extremely protective of him. When he was born, she couldn't wait to be one of the first people to hold him. Natalie loved each and everyone of her friends as if they were her own family. Natalie is survived by her mother, Samantha; step-mom, Rochelle; father, Daniel; children, Leighla and A'mir; brother, Vincent; step-siblings, Giovanni and Elly; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, many loving family members, and dog, Stella. She is preceded in death by her grandpa, Malcom; and grandma, Laura. Natalie was born February 10, 2005, in Iowa City, daughter of Samantha Hotz and Daniel Coleman. She graduated from Metro High School, Cedar Rapids, in 2022, and was enrolled in college working towards her paramedic degree. The family asks everyone to join them for a visitation on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 4:00 ' 7:00 p.m. at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
