On May 2, 1946 she married Irvin Clark at St. Johns Catholic Church in Lisbon, in which she was a life-long member. They farmed in the Mt. Vernon area until they moved to Lisbon in 1983. Louise was a homemaker who valued her family, the farm, and friendships. She loved to garden and harvest the fruits of her labor. To her family her noodles, pickles, and kolaches were the best! She enjoyed playing cards, attending her grandchildrens school activities, and the special friendships in the Jolly Workers and Club Eleven Clubs. She was a 60 member of the Mt. Vernon American Legion Auxiliary. Louise and Irvin enjoyed many years attending navy reunions held all over the country. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Irvin, of 68 years; children: Jim (Marge) Clark of Des Moines, Joyce (Steve) Fairley, Bob (Chris) Clark of Lisbon; 8 grandchildren: Andrea (Phillip) Perez of Washington, DC, Adrienne (Jeff) Clough of Baltimore, Maryland, Mark Fairley and Michael Fairley both of Urbandale, Kristin (Mark) Riddle of Midland, Michigan, Angie (Kent) Rosenboom of Grimes, Kelly (Scott) Baxa of Solon, and Jessica Clark of Birmingham, Michigan and; great-grandchildren: Alexander Perez and soon-to-be great-grandson, Grace, Ella, and Mary Riddle, and Kaitlyn, Olivia, and Jillian Rosenboom. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Hubert. Louise was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. The Clark family extends their deepest appreciation to those who cared for Louise: the staff of Hallmark Care Center and Hospice of Mercy. To The Clark Family, It saddens me to read about Louise’s passing. Something that helped me when my grandfather died was the hope found in the bible. It assures us God is near to those that are broken at heart and those who are crushed in spirit he saves. We read about this at Psalm 34:18. More than anything else, a relationship with God can help you to cope with the death of someone you love. I hope you find comfort in these words.
