Sunny & I knew Lawrence well. Whether it was at a bowling tournament or helping with 50/50 at the “city”, he was always there to make sure everything ran right or pitched in to help get things done. He was an icon to the Cedar Rapids area bowling community and he will be missed.
I was privileged to get to know “Studt” through scout camps and trips. He made things fun and contributed so much. My prayers are with his family.
To the Studt Family: I worked with Lawrence at Rockwell during the time he made his many trips to Toronto. He always had tales to tell. I remember well, how proud he was of his children. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Betty Johnson

I write to offer my sincere condolences to the family and friends on the passing of your love one. When unforeseen occurrences befall us and the enemy death strikes our grief can be great. It also may seem unfair that sickness, which can cause death, has the power to take away someone that we love Yes, it is at times like this that we need comfort and support whether we are acquainted or not. I have found the Bible to be very comforting in this regard. At Revelation 21: 3, 4, our Heavenly Father has promised in the near future that ?death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.? Our Heavenly Father has also promised that there will be a resurrection: ?and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous…” What a grand reunion that will be! You and I have the prospects of seeing our love ones again under the best condition possible, a beautiful Paradise earth; God?s original purpose for mankind. All of God’s promises will come true, for it is impossible for Our Heavenly Father Jehovah to lie. I pray that these scriptures prove to be a source of comfort. Once again, you have my sincere condolences ?Acts 24:15, Psalms 37:29, Luke 23:43, Hebrews 6:18.
Mr. Studt was a dedicated and honorable man. He devoted so much of his time to Boy Scouts of America. As a former member of Troop 33, I will always remember him as the camp cook, scoutmaster, and rafting crew member. I have an old photo of Mr. Studt in Rocky Mountain National park sitting near the top of Battle mountian in windy, snowy conditions with a poncho on and a pipe. I have another picture of him and with many of us rafting through a rough rapids on the Arkansas river. I will remember him as an adventurer and a leader. I think, if I can be just a little more like him in my life, I’ll be a better person.
I am so sorry for your loss. I graduated with Lawrence in 1963. He was always a gentleman. He lead a very full life and will be missed by many. We will always remember him. Sincerely, Renee Branson “Sterenberg”
