  1. How sad. I didn’t know Jacques, but my heartfelt sympathies go out to the family, which already has endured so much.

  2. To the Similhomme family:
I had the pleasure of working with Jocque a few years back in North Liberty. The job was a stepping stone, to pay bills, it was certainly not a rewarding place to work. Jacque was very impressive, had ambition, was at the time taking classes at Kirkwood.
He was very intelligent and had a good sense of humor.
I was sad to hear he is no longer with us, he had such a bright future, again I am very sorry for your loss.

  3. My prayers go out to Jacques entire family and friends. I knew Jacques through his roommate. He always had a funny laugh and beautiful smile everytime I would see him! Again, my deepest sympathy to his family and everyone who knew him well.

  4. We looked to Jacques, oldest of the kids, as the example — his infectious smile, his eagerness to learn, his optimism. All will be missed. We wish his family peace and strength to carry on as Jacques would want. Sincere condolences.

  5. My heart hurts for the loss off Jacques. Jacques had such a warm spirit that was so contagious. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

  6. I only met Jacques a few times through my close friend Dawn, but I what I remember most was his smile! I am sorry for your loss! My prayers are with his family!

  7. May you find peace and comfort in the prayers and arms of your friends. So sorry for the loss of your child. I did not know him but was moved to pray for you and your family upon reading of his passing.

  8. I wish the Father of my child(Katelyn)told me the funeral was the other day….I missed it….and I am so sorry Icould not be there. He meant so much to me and my daughter. He even brought laughter to me in my worst days. Her Father, Saurel did not tell me or I would of been there for sure.I pray for everyone to get through this and you know he was my friend….I give flowers and I give Corn chips back at him ….like he through to me as a joke:) He will be missed and HE IS loved.

  9. I will always miss him and his attitude. He was always so right in his waysyet comical in others….I will NEVER forget him. Bless him and his family and he will always be in my heart and my daughter(his buddy) Katelyn’s…….Whatever happened shall come forth and Jacque will caome back I believe as my angel and my daughter’s…..like he said….Act right or I will kick you to the East Coast….but he cared about me and I really really miss him…..I loved him

  10. I will see you again Jacque…and don’t roll your eyes:) I cannot wait to hear your laugh and your funny jokes:) I will be there soon to see you….save me a spot so I can tease you back:)

  11. I knew Jacque only a short time but the few times I did spend time with him, i found him to be a very kind, polite, calm, gentle man with a big heart, a caring nature, and a faithful person. i am sad to see one of God’s best gone from this earth.

  12. Every day I think I’m healed and honestly for a while thought I was but I’m not I miss so much it hurts…I don’t believe anything that was put out I just want you back just one last conversation…one last hug …one last math problem…one last ear to ear grin I love you and when I come up there I don’t wanna hear it about anything I been doing lol I’m trying❤️
