Debbie Kaiser-Lee

Debra Jo Kaiser-Lee, 58, of Center Point passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016, at her home. Gathering of Family and Friends: 4-7 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. She was born March 26, 1958 in Davenport, Iowa, to James and Jacqueline (Lyon) Kelsey. Debbie, known as 'Grandma Debbie' to many, found joy in spending time with her family, and was devoted to her grandchildren. Debbie also adored animals, loved and cared deeply for family and friends, and was always concerned for the well-being of others. She graduated from Kennedy High School and was a breast cancer survivor. She enjoyed watching movies, shopping for a good deal, and collecting snow globes and Coca-Cola memorabilia. She is survived by her children: Shannon Kaiser of Vinton; Scott Kaiser of Toddville; Samantha (Travis) Harre of Hiawatha; James (Dana) Lee of California, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; two step-daughters, Jenny and Wendy and their six children; and siblings Diane, Jeri, Janet, Jackie and James. She was preceded in death by her parents. I lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Debbie's name.

  5. I’m going to miss our talks, our coffee time, lunch dates, shopping, library, just hanging out all the time…..right now I mostly miss you!! When stuff happens I call you…. now I can’t and it hurts so much! I know you are doing well now so that makes me smile! But everything is reminding me of you…. I hope you are happy and worrie free now!
    I know I wasn’t ur birth daughter but I did call you mom and my kids called you grandma Debbie…..but every where we went I said it’s my mom or u said it’s my daughter! I know you loved me! I hope you know I loved you so very much! Miss you and love you!

  7. I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your mom, I know that she loved all of you kids and her grand kids very much. I hope you find peace in knowing she’s in a better place. Even though we had our differences your mom was a good person with a good heart and I always respected her for that. I know you will see her again someday.
